New Orleans & Carnival Cruise

My first visit to the Louisiana, Mississippi, West Tennessee district was a blast!  How much more could you ask for when the District Convention is on a Carnival Cruise?  It was a wonderful, exciting, educational weekend.  Thanks to Charlie and Sharon Ford who treated me to breakfast at the Ritz Carlton in New Orleans.  After breakfast, Charlie drove us to the dock where we all boarded the Carnival Triumph.  Checking in was a breeze and we were joined by LaMissTenn Kiwanis members for a quick lunch on the Lido Deck.  Over 170 K-Family members joined together in the Rio Lounge for the kick-off session.  Workshops were held on the second day and day 3 we spent in Cozumel.  All the normal Kiwanis business was conducted including the election of the 2010-2011 district board members.  Congratulations to the new officers:  Governor Linda, Governor-elect, Greg, immediate past governor Greg and Secretary/Treasurer Charlie.  Watch for more ifno.
